In this episode, the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi, has launched a new scheme for women on the occasion of his birthday on 17 September. Whose name is Subhadra Yojana . The main objective of the scheme is to empower women in the state.
This scheme has been named by the Prime Minister after Goddess Subhadra, sister of Lord Jagannath. In this scheme, more than 1 crore women between the age of 21 to 60 years will be given its benefit.
Under this Subhadra Yojana started by Modi ji, the government will provide Rs 10,000 annually to every woman. Objective of Subhadra Yojana
The main objective of the Subhadra Yojana is to empower women financially. in this scheme, the total amount of Rs. 10,000 will be provided to the beneficiary women in two installments of Rs. 5,000 each in a year. Around 1 crore women between the ages of 21 and 60 will benefit from this scheme.
This amount of Rs 10,000 will continue to be given to the beneficiary for the next five years. A budget of Rs 55,825 crore has been set by the cabinet for this scheme. Let us tell you that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of this scheme was released by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi last month.
Benefits of Subhadra Yojana (Scheme)
All beneficiaries will get a Subhadra Card (ATM-cum-Debit Card).
All eligible beneficiaries will receive Rs 50,000 per year over a period of 5 years between 2024-25 to 2028-29.
The annual installment of Rs 10,000 will be deposited in two installments of Rs 5,000 each.
The first installment will be released on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima and the second installment on International Women’s Day (08 March).

Necessary eligibility for Subhadra Yojana
To avail the benefits of this scheme, the female beneficiary must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
Applicant must be a resident of Odisha.
The applicant must be covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) / State Food Security Scheme (SFSS). Any woman from a family without an NFSA or SFSS card can apply under Subhadra if her family income does not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh (Rupees two lakh and fifty thousand only).
To be eligible under the scheme, the age of the applicant should be 21 years or more and less than 60 years as on the eligibility date. The date of birth recorded in the Aadhaar card will be considered as the last date for calculating his/her age.
For the financial year 2024-25, the age of the woman should be 21 years or more and less than 60 years as on 01.07.2024. Therefore, the applicant must be born on or after 02.07.1964 and on or before 01.07.2003. The date of birth recorded in the Aadhaar card will be considered as the last date for calculating her age.
For the year 2024-25, if a woman attains the age of 21 years after 01.07.2024, she will get Rs 10,000 per year for the remaining years of the scheme period. In the year 2024-25, women who attain the age of 60 years after 01.07.2024 will not get the benefit for the remaining years of the scheme period.

Who will be ineligible for the Subhadra Yojana (scheme)
Any woman who is receiving financial assistance like pension, scholarship etc. of Rs 1500 per month or more or Rs 18,000 per annum or more under any State or Central Government scheme will be ineligible.
Owner of a 4 wheeler motor vehicle.
Current or former Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA).
Income tax payer.
Elected public representative in any urban local body or Panchayati Raj institution (except ward member/councillor).
Employed as regular or contractual employee in State Government or Government of India or Public Sector Undertaking or Board or Local Body or Government Organization or receiving pension after retirement. However, all employees receiving honorarium like ASHA, Anganwadi workers, Community Resource Persons, Master Book Keepers, etc. and all those employed through outsourcing agencies will be considered, if they are otherwise eligible under the scheme.
Elected/Nominated/Appointed representative in any Government Department or Undertaking or Board or Organisation of the Government of India or State Government.
Owner of a 4 wheeler motor vehicle except tractor, mini truck, small commercial vehicle and other similar light goods vehicles.
The applicant’s family should not have more than 5 acres of irrigated land or more than 10 acres of non-irrigated land.

Subhadra Yojana Apply Online Process
All eligible women have to apply to avail the benefits under the scheme.
Application can be done offline as well as online through Subhadra portal.
Beneficiaries can get the application form free of cost from their nearest Anganwadi centres, block offices, urban local body offices, Mo Seva Kendras, Common Service Centres etc.
Applicant has to fill the form and submit it at the nearest Mo Seva Kendra / Common Service Centre.
In case of any discrepancy between the form submitted by the applicant and Aadhaar, the information in Aadhaar will be treated as final.
All applicants are required to complete e-KYC formalities.
The beneficiary can choose to exit the Subhadra Yojana scheme from which he/she can continue to receive the benefits through the Subhadra portal to aid in the empowerment and welfare of his/her fellow sisters in Odisha.
